The Certification Official plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and authenticity of seed potatoes. This position is ideal for an individual with a passion for agriculture and a strong work ethic.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certification Official to join our team at SPILASTYLE CC. As a Certification Official, you will be responsible for registering units, conducting field inspections, sampling, and certifying lots of seed potatoes.

Responsibilities

  • Registration of units, field inspections, sampling, and certification of lots of seed potatoes
  • Administrative tasks, including data capture

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Agriculture with plant pathology as main subject and/or plant production and/or agronomy or related fields as main subject
  • Approximately two years in-service training provided

  • No color blindness (impacts visual detection of plant virus symptoms)
  • Strong numeracy efficiency
  • Physical fitness to walk in fields during inspections and stand during tuber inspections
  • Valid driver's license

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is R605 096.00, which reflects the market rate for a Certification Official in the North West region.
