About the Role

As a Tax Data Analyst at Juru Holdings, you will be responsible for analyzing and validating data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.

This role involves working with client offshore investment activities and applying relevant tax knowledge to identify potential issues and implement solutions.

You will also perform data manipulation and descriptive analysis to ensure reasonability and communicate complex financial information effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Data Analysis and Validation: Extensive analysis of client financial information to ensure validity, completeness, accuracy, and correct recording into the client administration system.
  2. Quality Checks and Reconciliation: Performs data quality checks, reconciles and validates results, and implements solutions to support business requirements.
  3. Information Collation and Extraction: Collates information in predetermined formats or formats developed by the individual.
  4. Data Integration and Analysis: Extracts and analyzes data from various sources and integrates data accordingly to meet business objectives.
  5. Descriptive Data Analysis: Performs data manipulation and descriptive/exploratory data analysis.
  6. Communication and Liaising: Simplifying and communicating complex financial information and liaising with external and internal stakeholders appropriately to achieve desired outcomes.
  7. Interpretation and Recommendations: May be required to translate complex data and/or instructions into meaningful outcomes and interpret data to provide meaningful recommendations to the business.
  8. Accountability and Teamwork: Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks, and output quality and working effectively as part of a team, contributing ideas, supporting colleagues, and fostering a co-operative work environment.

Key Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Relevant Qualification: Matric and degree/diploma in relevant qualification; Accounting or tax post graduate qualification would be ideal.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-4 years relevant financial analysis experience in financial services industry.
  • Tax Knowledge: Tax experience is essential, the role involves working on analysis and testing of capital gains tax, dividends tax, S24J tax, and other income tax.
  • Investment Products: Also ideally experience of investment products and specifically offshore endowments.
  • Financial Instruments: Knowledge of how financial instruments work including corporate actions, dividends, etc.
  • Advanced Excel: Advanced Excel skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Very high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and excellent stakeholder engagement at various levels.
