Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Security and Compliance Manager to join our team at the University of Fort Hare. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of physical security protocols, ensuring alignment with IT security governance and policies.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in administering and managing physical security protocols, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in the physical security domain. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as leadership qualities with high tolerance and patience.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading physical security risk management activities to enhance the value of the company
  • Command and control of the day-to-day management of all onsite security officers
  • Overseeing, coordinating and leading security requirements with vendors who safeguard the company's assets, intellectual property and technology
  • Identifying protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic plan and compliance requirements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A BTech qualification in HSE (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in the physical security domain
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership qualities with high tolerance and patience
