As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in operating the Dissolving Wood Pulp Plant processes and coordinating plant activities on a shift basis, ensuring optimal efficiency and effective performance across all operational units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective startup, shutdown, and rate changes of production equipment to maintain efficient operations.
- Optimize plant operations within raw material and service constraints, driving process improvements and cost reductions.
- Monitor section efficiency and enforce Management of Change procedures to ensure seamless transitions.
- Identify equipment deviations, report issues, and ensure timely repairs to prevent downtime and optimize maintenance planning.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with safety policies to promote a safe working environment.
- Manage human resources effectively for optimal capacity planning and team performance, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and authorizing operators.
- Oversee incidental, planned shutdowns, and breakdowns per best practices to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance plans, work orders, and system processes to maintain equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Conduct Planned Job Observations and maintain accurate master data feedback to support training and development programs.
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or National Diploma in Pulp and Paper; 2 years of manufacturing experience in the Pulp and Paper industry; experience with Dissolving Wood Pulp is advantageous.
- A strong understanding of process control systems and mechanical aptitude is essential.
