Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at Info Personnel. As an Automotive Electrician Specialist, you will be responsible for servicing, identifying, and repairing faults on electronically controlled machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Computer-Controlled Engine Management Systems: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults in complex electronic systems.
  • Service and Repair Electronically Controlled Machines: Troubleshoot and repair issues with electronic field systems, gear selection, air-conditioning, and monitoring systems.
  • Install Electrical Components and Equipment: Install gauges, lights, radios, alternators, starter motors, and wiring looms, ensuring proper operation and effectiveness.
  • Test and Inspect Repaired Parts/Vehicles: Use special tools to ensure the proper operation and effectiveness of maintenance activities.
  • Install Electrically Operated Accessories: Install radios, strobes, cameras, and convertors, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Use Diagnostic Instruments and Tools: Utilize meters, diagnostic instruments, laptops, and circuit diagrams to identify electrical faults.
  • Replace Faulty Alternators and Generators: Replace faulty alternators, generators, starter motors, magnetos, and related items, such as voltage regulators and batteries.
  • Follow Safety and Protection Instructions: Ensure the proper use of equipment and tools to prevent any possible danger.
  • Solder or Weld Electrical Parts: Repair electrical parts, sell, and install electrical parts and accessories.
  • Repair and Service Air-Conditioning Systems: Troubleshoot and repair issues with air-conditioning systems.
  • Utilize Mobile Management System: Capture daily timesheets, service reports, vehicle checklists, installation checklists, surveys, and submit electronic reports within 24 hours of completion.
Requirements
  • Matric Certificate: A minimum of a Matric certificate is required.
  • Trade Qualification (Automotive Electrician): A trade qualification in Automotive Electrician is essential.
  • Minimum 7 Years Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in the field is required.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Product Knowledge (Auto Electrical Products): Knowledge of Auto Electrical products is essential.
  • Knowledge of Earth Moving Equipment: Knowledge of earth moving equipment is required.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literacy, including knowledge of Safemine and ET diagnostic systems, is necessary.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Knowledge in Preventive Maintenance: Knowledge in performing preventive maintenance is essential.
  • Knowledge in Safety Practices: Knowledge in safety practices associated with vehicle maintenance is required.
  • Excellent Time and Quality Management Skills: Excellent time and quality management skills are necessary.
  • Good Command of Afrikaans and English Languages: A good command of both Afrikaans and English languages is required.
