Mining Technician

Exxaro is seeking a skilled Technician to join our team in the mining industry. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our mining equipment and systems.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mining equipment and systems.
• Conduct tests and collect data on Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and High Precision Systems (HPS).
• Initiate continuous improvement initiatives to improve process capabilities and product quality.
• Manage expenses and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Develop and implement system and electrical infrastructure and installations.
• Facilitate systems implementation and uptime by studying system requirements and completing installation and acceptance tests.

• Trade: Millwright MQA/QCTO (Essential)
• N Dip: Electrical Engineering (Essential)
• Certificate First Line Management (Recommended)
• 3 years Relevant maintenance experience on Mining or Plant equipment (Essential)
• Psychometric Assessment (Essential) (to be conducted by Exxaro)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential) (to be conducted by Exxaro)
• Competence: MS Office Relevant Package (Essential)

As a Technician, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with other specialists, contractors, and personnel to ensure effective resolution. You will be responsible for maintaining a healthy environment and safe operations and practices, and ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.
