Rigger Job Description

Oxyon People Solutions is seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment and materials on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load Inspection and Preparation: Conduct thorough inspections of loads to be moved, ensuring they are properly secured and prepared for transport.
• Equipment Setup and Alignment: Set up, align, and level heavy equipment machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Rigging Gear Selection: Select the most suitable rigging gear for each job, taking into account factors such as weight, size, and material.
• Rigging Equipment Preparation: Prepare rigging equipment, including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts, for use on construction sites.
• Rigging Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of rigging equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load Handling and Movement: Safely maneuver loads using heavy equipment machinery and manual techniques.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and company safety procedures, including OSHA regulations.
• Team Communication: Communicate effectively with the rigging and construction team to ensure smooth project execution.
• Post-Rigging Inspections: Conduct thorough post-rigging inspections to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience working as a Rigger.
• Certifications: Minimum Level 1 NCCCO certification.
• Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery.
• Physical Abilities: Excellent hearing and vision, ability to work at heights, and in noisy environments.
• Mathematical Skills: High-level mathematical skills.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors in harsh weather conditions.
