About the Role
  • We're seeking a highly experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team in Cape Town.
  • This role will involve architecting and developing new products and features, collaborating with product managers, and contributing to project planning and execution.
  • You'll work closely with external service providers and maintain and improve our existing codebase.
  • As a senior engineer, you'll mentor and coach junior engineers, champion high-quality code, and contribute to our overall approach and standards within the engineering discipline.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and release server applications in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with Node.js, Typescript, and other technologies to build scalable and secure systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional squads to deliver customer-facing features.
  • Contribute to estimations, planning, and execution of projects, features, and integrations.
Requirements
  • Extensive backend engineering experience at leading startups or fast-growing tech companies.
  • Confident in developing, releasing, and maintaining server applications in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Deep understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and best practices.
  • Cloud native experience with Google Cloud or similar platforms.
