Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Systems Architect to join our Next Product Support team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the software architecture, design, and future technology roadmap for our diverse suite of data analytics and cloud-based product support tools.

This is a hybrid position, requiring some work onsite at one of our listed location options. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, analysis, and maintenance of software systems and architecture to ensure customer requirements and quality, safety, and security standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with program and software management stakeholders to inform system definition and oversee the translation of business requirements into software system solutions.
  • Research and implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
  • Identify risk, issues, and opportunities as they pertain to the software architecture.
  • Oversee software project management and software supplier management activities.
  • Oversee reviews of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • 13+ years of software engineering development experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in the aerospace domain
  • 3+ years' experience with web microservices architecture
  • Experience with cloud development (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 15+ years software development experience
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies (Scrum, Agile, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps)
  • Extensive technical knowledge in common client and server-side frameworks (Spring Boot/Spring Framework,.NET Core, Django, Express)

This position requires the ability to obtain a SECRET US Security Clearance Post-Start for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. To be considered for this position, you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Experienced: $145, $226,550.00
