Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our Data in Transit domain, you will be responsible for supporting customers running ETL workloads or analyzing large amounts of data using AWS services.

About the Job

This is a fully office-based role, Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts, including creation of ETL pipelines to extract and ingest data into data lakes/warehouses with simple to medium complexity data transformations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support customers running ETL workloads or analyzing large amounts of data using AWS services.
  • Design and develop ETL pipelines to extract and ingest data into data lakes/warehouses with simple to medium complexity data transformations.
  • Investigate and resolve ETL job issues.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Linux and networking concepts.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to multi-task.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in the same field with 1+ year of experience, or equivalent experience in a technical position.
  • 2-4 years of experience.
