Job Overview:

Lindt and Sprungli is seeking a skilled Chocolate Specialist to join our team in Gauteng. As an ambassador of the premium brand, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service:
    • Deliver world-class service at all times, across all sections of the store and over the phone.
    • Greet customers warmly and host memorable experiences.
    • Educate and inform customers about Lindt chocolate products and handle them with passion and knowledge.
    • Sampling provides product knowledge and introduces products through discussion of taste profiles and ingredients.
    • Awareness of daily sales budgets and actively upsell to increase customer transaction spend.
    • Inform customers of current in-store promotions, events, and directed information.
    • Provide assistance in selecting quality Lindt products, encouraging additional sales.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Comprehensive understanding of products, including specifications (handling, ingredients, storage, allergens).
    • Product pricing, packaging, and category performance knowledge.
    • Comply with product management and handling procedures.
    • Adhere to food and hygiene and safety standards, practicing good hygienic practices.
  • General:
    • Work ethic reflecting Lindt values and standards as outlined in the Credo and Lindt Policies & Procedures.
    • Record sampling and wasted products actively quality controlling products.
    • Perform opening and closing procedures, signing off checklists.
    • Conduct cleaning duties, signing off checklists.
    • Monitor temperature readings, signing off checklists.
    • Maintain clean, tidy working areas at all times.
    • Ensure fixtures, glass cabinets, and floors remain clean and tidy throughout the day.
    • Maintain body language, mannerism, physical and verbal presentation upholding the company image and grooming policy.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in customer service.
  • Prior experience in a similar retail environment.
  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Confident and interactive with a friendly disposition.
  • Polite and patient.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and be able to represent a premium brand. The salary range for this position is approximately R350,000 - R450,000 per annum, depending on experience.
