Job Opportunity: Adjunct Faculty in Literature

About the Position:

We are seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach Literature and Creative Writing courses at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in English, Comparative Literature, or Modern Languages and Literatures or an MFA in creative writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses in Literature and Creative Writing
  • Develop and implement curriculum for existing courses
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom

Requirements:

  1. PhD in English, Comparative Literature, or Modern Languages and Literatures or an MFA in creative writing
  2. Proven teaching experience and ability to jump into an existing curriculum
  3. Demonstrated expertise in American, English, and World literatures; poetry; and American and Global cinema
