Recoveries Portfolio Manager

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administration of an outsourced recoveries portfolio at Santam. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as experience in the insurance industry.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation of new handovers to attorneys.
  • Provide instructions to external service providers.
  • Manage diary entries in AJS or Claims Center (Claims System).
  • Perform ad hoc tasks related to the validation and updating of Management Info.
  • Respond to broker and client enquiries.
  • Update notes on the operating system (AJS/Claims center).
  • Update claims profiles and segments.
  • Liaise with brokers, administrators, underwriting and other relevant parties to the claims process.

Requirements
  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the insurance industry specifically pertaining to subrogation recoveries and indemnities.
  • Legal Secretary or Para-Legal qualification (advantage).
  • Civil Litigation Process knowledge (advantage).
