Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical consulting services to our customers, producing and integrating engineering solutions/designs for asset creation at various stages of project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical consulting services to our customers
  • Produce and integrate engineering solutions/designs for asset creation on behalf of customers
  • Conduct technical evaluations, supporting planning, design, and construction
  • Perform project administration, including preparing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, and completing progress reports
  • Design and implement pumping systems, including piping to water treatment plants
  • Design and implement chemical dosing pumping systems
  • Design and implement pumping systems from water treatment plants to booster stations
  • Follow safe work practices and use company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner
  • Advice, design, and implement mechanical structures of water treatment plants
  • Interface with project managers and other engineering fields on design and implementation of projects
Qualifications and Experience
  • Sc. or BEng in Electrical Engineering, PrEng (ECSA Registered as a professional Engineer)
  • Experience in managing a team of junior engineers
  • Minimum 15 years in engineering design, management, and construction
  • Minimum 10 years experience in performing electrical/mechanical design
  • Extensive experience in design and construction of steel water pipeline, pump stations, reservoirs, abstraction works, and water treatment plants
  • Legal knowledge of Employee Equity Act, Labour and Employment laws, OHS Act, Design compliance standards
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office, MS Project, various Electrical and water design software
  • Driver's License is Essential
  • Quality Management: Ensure ISO compliance
  • Regular inter-provincial and international site visits and meetings
