Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations, maintain accurate inventory levels, and manage stock control systems.
  • Stock Management: Oversee stock receipt processes, system updates, and investigate variances.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to company policies, health, and safety regulations, and identify/mitigate operational risks.
  • Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, address customer issues promptly, and provide excellent service.
  • Staff Supervision: Manage performance, training, and development of warehouse staff, conduct regular performance appraisals, and address employee relations matters.
  • Cost Control: Contribute to budgeting processes, control expenditures within set limits, and identify/implement cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Warehouse Management/Distribution/Logistics (NQF 6) - Minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields - Advantageous

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in Warehouse/Distribution/Logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role
