**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Fire Assay Operator - Sample Preparation to join our laboratory team at SGS. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine analytical techniques related to sample preparation and fire assay procedures.

  • Receive and verify samples with security guards, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Sort and box samples efficiently, maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
  • Collect samples from Sample Receiving for weighing and processing.
  • Perform various tasks including weighing, drying, crushing, splitting, pulverizing, and boxing of samples according to client instructions.
  • Operate equipment in both Sample Prep and Fire Assay departments, adhering to strict quality and safety protocols.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Previous knowledge of measurement, preparation, fluxing, and fusing of samples is advantageous.
