We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Network Security Supervisor to join our team at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of network security principles and practices, including security protocols, encryption technologies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN management.

The Network Security Supervisor will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect the university's network infrastructure. They will also supervise network security operations, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure VPN access.

• Responsibilities:
• Oversee continuous monitoring for potential security threats, unauthorized access, and unusual network activity.
• Lead the response to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery, following best practices.
• Conduct root cause analyses of incidents to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
