At HR Genie, we are seeking an experienced Managing Director: Investment to join our team and drive the growth of our investment solutions. With a focus on leadership, strategy, and innovation, this role will enable you to utilize your expertise to propel our business forward.

Salary Range: R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum

Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead and motivate a team of professionals, execute the responsibilities of a Managing Director according to lawful and ethical standards, and oversee the investment philosophy and process across various investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the responsibilities of a Managing Director according to lawful and ethical standards;
  • Effectively manage human capital within the division, adhering to authorized personnel policies and procedures;
  • Identify, develop, and direct the implementation of the division's strategy;
  • Plan and direct activities to achieve stated/agreed targets and standards;
  • Maintain and develop organizational culture, values, and reputation;
  • Report on organizational plans and performance;
  • Analyze and develop distribution channels;
  • Maintain financial performance in conjunction with the National Executive: Finance;
  • Develop new products and solutions, as required;
  • Plan marketing, advertising, and promotional campaigns;
  • Recruit, select, and develop subordinate team members;
  • Ensure sustainable succession planning throughout the division.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in business management or finance, complemented with an investment management qualification;
  • At least 12 years of experience in the financial services industry;
  • Broad understanding of all aspects of management, including knowledge of investment management, finance, legal, regulatory, marketing, and communication, strategic planning, human resources, and information technology;
  • Knowledge of commercial law and other relevant legislation;
  • Ability to multitask and delegate tasks effectively;
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills;
  • Superb management, leadership, and motivational skills;
  • Sharp commercial and strategic thinking;
  • Long-term vision;
  • Problem-solving ability;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
