- Demonstrated strategic contribution is essential, along with a broad range of experience in consumer credit within a Credit Risk analytics environment.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Requirements:
- A relevant post-graduate degree with mathematical or statistical-oriented subjects is preferred.
- A Business Science Degree/B.Com Degree or equivalent is required.
- You should have 8+ years' experience in consumer credit (within a Credit Risk analytics environment) with demonstrated ability to implement solutions based on findings from analytical projects.
- An understanding of the credit life cycle is crucial.
- Revolving store card or credit card experience is advantageous.
- You must be able to work efficiently under pressure and within structured and unstructured parameters.
- Predictive Analytics experience with a highly numerate background is advantageous.
- You must be able to monitor models and report back to the board.
- Assisting in growing the team with relevant support, training programs, and being seen as a mentor is important.
- A high attention to detail driving a need for 100% accuracy is essential.
- A high level of integrity and confidentiality is necessary.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
- Experience in SAS (base and/or Enterprise Guide and/or SAS Viya) is extremely advantageous SAS Sequel/SAS Python.
Responsibilities:
Accountabilities:
- Assist the team in achieving a balanced credit portfolio by accurately forecasting expected results.
- Develop and implement champion/challenger customer strategies that deliver performance in line with Board expectations.
- Monitor portfolio performance and ensure book performance meets pre-defined KPIs by proactively proposing changes.
- Investigate data integrity issues, test assumptions, and validate analytical results, ensuring accuracy of findings.
- Undertake analysis to determine the impact of strategy changes to areas of application and account management strategies.
- Present ideas via reports and presentations, outlining findings and making recommendations for improvements to senior stakeholders.
- Forecasting and monitoring implemented strategies using statistical techniques.
- Project manage the implementation of strategy changes into live systems.
- Credit professional with experience in IFRS9, credit strategy rules, risk registers.
