Premises Guardian

**Job Summary:** We are looking for a skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team at Desco Electronic Recyclers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, customers, and visitors. Key responsibilities will include:

1. Safety and Security Management: Develop and implement effective safety and security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a secure environment.
2. Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and protect individuals and property.
3. Access Control: Monitor and control access to and from the Company's facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry.
4. Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of the premises to detect and deter unauthorized activities, vandalism, or theft.
5. Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for security personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid PSIRA certificate for Grade C or above and registration.
• Firearm competency (handgun and shotgun).
• Experience in Access Control, Patrolling, and Static Guarding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Police Clearance Certificate.
• Reside in the East Rand area.
