Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Commodity Trader to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in sales, negotiation, business, finance, and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new trading opportunities in the fruit market.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers and buyers.
- Monitor market trends, prices, and other factors affecting the fruit industry.
- Manage the purchasing, sales, and logistics processes to ensure smooth transactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Analyse market data to inform trading strategies and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Strong background in sales, negotiation, business, finance, or agriculture.
- A degree in Business, Agriculture, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
- A keen interest in the fruit industry and a passion for agricultural commodities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Paarl, office based. R45 000-R50 000 CTC per month depending on experience.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
