About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Software Developer to join our team at the National Research Foundation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scientific software and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software, operational procedures, and documentation to support research and development activities.
  • Maintain and improve scientific software and HPC environments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop methods, algorithms, numerical models, and techniques for radio interferometric data processing to enhance data quality and accuracy.
  • Participate in scientific and technical working groups to share knowledge and expertise.
Requirements:
  • Three years' experience working in a research and/or HPC environment with a Master's degree or higher.
  • Five years' experience working in a research and/or HPC environment with an Honours degree or higher.
  • A Bachelor's Honours/Master's/PhD degree in astronomy, physics, mathematics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
