Level-Up is a technology-driven organization seeking a skilled Information Security Engineer to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems, networks, and data.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer with a strong technical background to lead our security initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our security infrastructure, conducting regular system tests, and developing technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement secure network architectures, ensure compliance with industry standards, and develop strategies to address emerging threats.
  • System Testing and Monitoring: Conduct regular penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and monitoring of network security to identify potential risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Tech Solutions and Automation: Develop and implement automation tools to streamline security processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual errors.
  • Incident Response and Communication: Establish protocols for responding to security incidents, ensure timely communication with stakeholders, and provide clear guidance on security procedures.
  • Training and Collaboration: Collaborate with the IT department to select and deploy technical controls, define processes and standards for security configurations, and train staff on network and information security best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GSEC, or similar.
  • Proven work experience as an Information Security Engineer or similar role, with a strong technical background in Linux and/or network administration, and experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure designs, including routing, firewall functionality, host and network intrusion detection systems, encryption, load balancing, and other network protocols.
  • Proficient in managing and configuring Active Directory and Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools, such as Greenbone, OpenVAS, and Nessus, as well as other security management tools like Intune and PingCastle.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in information security and risk management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and effective project management skills.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
