The Oubaai Hotel Golf and Spa, located in the picturesque Herolds Bay on South Africa's renowned Garden Route, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Auditor to join their team.

As a Financial Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the hotel's financial systems, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations for enhanced financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective auditing systems to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Conduct regular audits of daily revenues, including room sales, food and beverage, and golf revenue, to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Audit charges to City Ledger and credit card companies, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Review and verify daily reports, including the computerized Daily Report, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate any discrepancies or irregularities in financial records, including guest ledger balances and employee City Ledger accounts.
  • Monitor and review the execution of the night audit program, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly authorized and documented.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in accounting or equivalent an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting income audit.
  • MS Office required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
