Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Operations Officer to join our team at Scorpex Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounting procedures and computer application systems that deliver accurate financial records.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Providing monthly financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff to inform business decisions.
  2. Managing financial regulatory requirements of the JSE and other related authorities to ensure compliance.
  3. Overseeing cashflows and bank reports to maintain a healthy financial position.
  4. Managing taxation obligations and ensuring all necessary returns are submitted on time.
  5. Leading the annual audit process to identify areas for improvement.
  6. Creditor payments, both local and offshore, to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  7. Annual insurance review and ensuring adequate cover is in place.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Matric certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Diploma in Finance with relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of stockbroking and JSE BDA system is desirable.
  • Proficiency in SAGE Accpac and ability to use it effectively.
  • Proven track record of delivering financial results in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific legislation.
  • Tenure and experience in a financial role.
