About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Temperature Screener to join our team. As a Temperature Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our visitors, contractors, and employees by screening them for Covid-19 symptoms before entering our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Observe all visitors, contractors, and employees for cold, flu, and respiratory symptoms.
  2. Check temperatures using a no-contact thermometer.
  3. Record results of each visitor, contractor, or employee who is not permitted on property and submit to the Branch Manager.
  4. Enforce Personal Protective Equipment at facility entrances.
  5. Deny entrance into the workplace as necessary.
  6. Maintain a log of employees and visitors who refuse temperature checks or refuse to answer questions.
  7. Comply with designated safety policies and procedures.
  8. Participate in COVID-19 training classes.
  9. Monitor stock levels for masks, thermometer covers, and thermometers.

Requirements:

  • Matric (NQF level 4) plus Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Nursing and Paramedic.
  • 1-3 years' experience in a Medical healthcare/office/facility environment.
  • Ability to start immediately.
  • Able to commit five days a week, Monday to Friday.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments.
