Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients in the assigned portfolio, providing exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Process cashbook and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee creditor processing and reconciliations, maintaining strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Process month-end journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and maintain fixed asset registers.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including acquisitions, disposals, and annual depreciation.
  • Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliation, demonstrating ability to work under pressure.
  • Prepare management accounts, administer the full UK payroll function, and reconcile VAT submissions.
  • Electronically file annual accounts and confirmation statements with HMRC.
  • Update the internal workflow management system, assisting with other finance-related tasks as requested.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in accounting, with minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Xero and Sage Business Online.
  • Experience working directly with clients, preferably in an accounting firm with UK experience.
  • Familiarity with intercompany accounting practices and fixed asset management.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a benefits package including professional development opportunities.
