We are seeking an experienced Aviation Security Liaison Specialist to join our dynamic team at DPT Recruitment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing activities of the National Aviation Security Committee (NASC), Facilitation Committee, and engagement with ICAO and AFCAC workgroups. This includes coordinating committee meetings, disseminating decisions, and facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Committee Coordination: Manage activities of the NASC, Facilitation Committee, and engagement with ICAO and AFCAC workgroups.
  2. Stakeholder Communication: Act as liaison between internal and external committees, disseminate decisions, and facilitate communication.
  3. Secretarial and Administrative Support: Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and documentation, and manage logistical arrangements.
  4. Reporting: Collate and submit meeting reports to the appropriate aviation committees.
  5. Event Organization: Plan and coordinate stakeholder workshops, forums, and industry engagements.
  6. State Letters Management: Maintain and track responses to ICAO and AFCAC State Letters, and update the SARPS implementation register.
  7. Regulation Review: Contribute to the development and review of regulations, procedures, and operational requirements to improve aviation security.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • National Diploma or Relevant NQF Level 6 qualification.
  • Aviation Security training courses.

Ideal Requirements:

In addition to the minimum requirements, we would prefer candidates with:

  • Diploma in Aviation Security or relevant degree.
  • 3-5 years experience in stakeholder relations or aviation committee work.
  • Aviation regulatory experience is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in stakeholder engagement and committee coordination.
  • Knowledge of aviation security regulations and practices.
