Key Responsibilities:

1. Management Accounts and Financial Reporting:
Prepare and deliver monthly accurate management accounts, financial statements, and variance analysis in line with deadlines. Provide insightful financial reporting to support business decision-making.

2. VAT & Tax Compliance:
Ensure accurate VAT calculations and timely submission of returns. Assist with tax compliance and planning, liaising with external tax advisors where necessary.

3. BEE Compliance:
Ensure that the company meets its BEE reporting and compliance obligations, providing accurate data and supporting documentation as needed.

4. Team Leadership & Staff Management:
Supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Ensure the team's adherence to accounting procedures and best practices.

5. Accounting Function Management:
Manage and support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Oversee the Cashbook and ensure that all transactions are processed accurately and promptly.

Qualifications and Experience:
National Senior Certificate, BCom/accounting degree or equivalent. Minimum of 5-7 years in a similar management accountant role with proven experience in managing VAT, tax, and financial reporting. Prior experience in managing accounting teams and functions such as AP, AR, cashbook, and BEE compliance is a must. Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles. Experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics, SAGE or similar). Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Competencies:
Proactive, deadline-driven, and highly organized. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. A hands-on approach with a passion for process improvement and efficiency.
