Interwaste (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Ecologist to join our team at the Germiston Branch. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our sustainability goals by implementing our biodiversity and landscape integration policy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a landscape master plan that promotes biodiversity on our sites.
• Work with the green spaces department to manage green and natural spaces.
• Collaborate with operational activities teams to integrate biodiversity into their work.
• Establish relationships with stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on biodiversity metrics and indicators.

Desired Qualifications:

• BAC+5 / Engineer with knowledge of biodiversity (flora and fauna) and ecology or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, OHSAct, NEMA, biodiversity regulations.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own transport and flexibility to travel.
