Job Overview

Hire Power Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a case management position in Port Elizabeth.

About the Role

This six-month fixed term contract opportunity involves reviewing patients' care plans, liaising with healthcare providers, and ensuring cost-effective treatment. The ideal candidate will have private hospital nursing experience and be based in Port Elizabeth, EC.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review patient care plans to ensure appropriateness and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Liaise with healthcare providers to obtain clinical updates and outstanding information.
  3. Engage with treating doctors to ensure appropriate treatment and level of care.
  4. Develop and implement practice guidelines for cost-effective care.
  5. Authorise surgical care and treatment.
  6. Ensure consistent application of exclusions.
Requirements:
  1. Matric qualification essential.
  2. Nursing Diploma or Degree required.
  3. Minimum 2 years private hospital experience necessary.
  4. Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse mandatory.
  5. ICD-10 coding certificate advantageous.
  6. Managed care/case management experience beneficial.
  7. MS Office/Office 365 proficiency essential.
