The Air Products South Africa Technical department in Kempton Park is seeking a skilled Technician to perform installations and maintenance activities on our operational sites effectively, efficiently, and safely.
Key Responsibilities- Perform planned & unplanned maintenance and installation activities as directed;
- Plan, communicate, and report on maintenance and installation activities within the area;
- Assist with and perform identified project activities as directed;
- Comply with required Safety systems and protocols within APSAP and customer sites.
- A Matric certificate with Maths and Science or N3 qualification with technical subjects;
- A Red Seal Trade-Tested Artisan certification (preferably Millwright or Fitter);
- A proven record of Apprenticeship;
- An advantage of being a registered accredited SACGA gas installer;
- A valid unendorsed code 08 driver's license;
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance work experience in an engineering environment in the Industrial or Chemical Industry;
- Cryogenic gas experience would be beneficial;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the MS Office Suite;
- Ability to work shifts and overtime as needed;
- Willingness to be on standby on weekends and public holidays;
- Ability to travel extensively as needed;
- Medical fitness to work at heights.
