We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at CK Africa Talent.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our dispatch team and oversee the efficient movement of products from our warehouse to clients across the region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritizing work, resolving dispatching errors, and providing flexible support to meet deadlines. They will also supervise subordinates, ensuring punctuality, discipline, and adherence to safety regulations.
A key aspect of this role is maintaining supply and demand to ensure availability, undertaking physical stock counts, and verifying inventory levels with the Factory Manager.
In addition, the Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for recording daily sales against production, operating according to ISO standards, and ensuring that outstanding waybills are accounted for.
To succeed in this position, you must have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of managing logistics operations effectively.
Responsibilities- Prioritize work and resolve dispatching errors to meet deadlines
- Supervise subordinates to ensure punctuality, discipline, and safety compliance
- Maintain supply and demand to ensure product availability
- Undertake physical stock counts and verify inventory levels with the Factory Manager
- Record daily sales against production and operate according to ISO standards
- Ensure outstanding waybills are accounted for
- Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven track record of managing logistics operations effectively
- Computer literacy, particularly in JD Edwards system
- Valid Driver's License Code 8
The salary range for this position is R350,000 - R450,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including medical aid, pension fund, and life insurance.
