Job Title: HR & Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR & Payroll Administrator to join our team at Jean Fowlds Consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll and HR functions for our esteemed client located in Brakpan, with a payroll of 180 people across 6 factories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the payroll process, including weekly wages, overtime, and benefits
  • Set up and maintain clocking devices and ensure accurate timekeeping
  • Understand and apply labour laws, including leave types and overtime rules
  • Automate the processing of information into the payroll system
  • Manage 3rd party payments and COID returns
  • Run employer tax reconciliations and issue IRP5s
  • Manage HR-related functions, including skills gap analysis, training interventions, and employee wellness days
  • Assist with drafting warnings, suspension notices, and disciplinary hearings
  • Maintain accurate leave records and schedules

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in HR or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Sound payroll experience of +/- 5 years managing shift systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in using software tools, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good organizational skills and problem-solving aptitude
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
