Industrial Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities
As an Industrial Engineering Manager at Continental, you will be responsible for defining department targets and planning, coordinating, and supervising activities to achieve local and central targets. You will also define personnel objectives, assess, develop, and consult direct reporting positions within the IE department.
Efficiency Improvement Strategy Implementation
You will develop strategic concepts and ideas to improve production processes, implement strategies and measures to streamline the process chain, and coordinate and steer CBS activities. Additionally, you will initiate Kaizen, VSM, debottlenecking, and other workshops to ensure continuous improvement processes and engagement of people.
Analysis
You will analyze, evaluate, and benchmark production processes to increase added value, benchmark results with other plants, and report to plant management. You will also identify fields of improvement within the process chain and provide IE-specific data, plant, and equipment design and layout requirements for CRs.
Consultation and Improvement
You will consult plant management regarding IE-specific concerns, initiate/implement improvements in IE-specific applications, work measurement, material flow, and other areas. You will also ensure the implementation of standards according to CBS and continuous improvement of standards.
Reporting and Systems
You will generate capacity reports and internal key performance indicators, design, implement, maintain, and administer rates/wages evaluation systems for plants to ensure maximum productivity and reduce production costs. You will also compile production-, vacation, and absence plans in cooperation with production control and production.
Communication and Learning
You will coordinate and communicate local IE activities to central IE, ensure the exchange of IE know-how within the plant and between plants, and manage IE tasks within projects. You will also participate in projects as a work package owner, project leader, or steering team member.
Requirements
You will need an Industrial Engineering degree or Master in Mechanical Engineering (preferable production technology), 3-5 years in the tire business, and 3-5 years of leadership experience.
