The successful candidate will have a background in Maintenance Technician and a passion for working with electrical systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that our electrical systems are running smoothly and efficiently, and identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs in a timely manner.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in technical or maintenance roles with a strong knowledge of conveyors and motors.
- A Red seal trade test certificate is highly desirable.
- A minimum NQF level 3 qualification is required.
- PLC knowledge and programming skills are essential.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certification in electrical engineering or a related field are necessary.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams is essential.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical problems and performing repairs is required.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards is necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management.
