Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs in a timely manner.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in technical or maintenance roles with a strong knowledge of conveyors and motors.
  • A Red seal trade test certificate is highly desirable.
  • A minimum NQF level 3 qualification is required.
  • PLC knowledge and programming skills are essential.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certification in electrical engineering or a related field are necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams is essential.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical problems and performing repairs is required.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management.
