We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Pharmacist to join our team at Dis-Chem Pharmacies Okavango store.

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients by evaluating their medicine-related needs and dispensing medicines as per prescriptions.
• Ensure accurate interpretation of scripts and act in a professional manner within legal requirements.
• Capture script details accurately and verify patient details on the system.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and checking of medication, and be aware of common dosages and drug interactions.
• Provide clear instructions to patients regarding the correct use of medicine supplied.
• Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing.
• Advise and assist patients at the dispensary, self-medication counter, and front-shop.

• BPharm or equivalent qualification
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in retail pharmacy
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Advantageous: Relevant retail/FMCG experience, third additional language, SAP experience, E-scripting experience, registered tutor, Unisolv experience

• Strong command of the English language and a second language
• Good communication skills and listening
• Basic dosing and important drug interaction knowledge
• Customer service focus and supervisor experience
• Ability to train other staff members and conflict management skills
• Strong attention to detail and sound numerical skills
