Job SummaryThis role involves working closely with the Director to deliver high-quality services.
- Compiling elemental estimates and providing cost advice to clients based on project drawings.
- Preparing detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQs) from project drawings.
- Adjusting project preliminaries as required.
- Developing tender documents for JBCC contracts.
- Evaluating tender submissions and making procurement recommendations.
- Attending site, technical, and planning meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
- Preparing valuations for payment certificates to facilitate timely payments.
- Generating financial and contract status reports to inform stakeholders.
- Conducting ongoing site measurements during construction and issuing variation orders as necessary.
- Verifying and reconciling project drawings to ensure accuracy.
- Finalizing project accounts.
- Expanding services to include energy, mining, and other sectors beyond construction consulting, property development, manufacturing, waste management, supply, distribution contracts, and plant equipment hire.
- Developing business plans and proposals.
A minimum B.Tech in Quantity Surveying or higher qualification is required.
Key SkillsThe ideal candidate will possess software skills in MS Excel, WinQS, MS Office, and Dimension X.
- Preparation of accurate cost and progress reports.
- Applying effective cost control measures during project execution.
- Agreeing and finalizing project accounts.
- Mediating disputes between main contractors, sub-contractors, and clients.
