About the Role

The Financial Controller will lead the finance function, overseeing financial procedures, and preparing management accounts. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with extensive experience in accounting and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze monthly expenses as per Business Intelligence report.
  • Ensure accurate journal entry into Syspro and correct General Ledger account allocations.
  • Verify Business Intelligence agreement with Syspro before uploading to Enterprise Content System.
  • Calculate monthly Sales and COGS journal between IMP and NCM.
  • Calculate monthly royalty and recovery amounts.
  • Manage Fixed Asset register with ATR specialists.
  • Resolve balance sheet differences with ATR specialists.
  • Prepare accounts for financial year-end audit.
  • Manage debtor's clerk functions and Accounts Receivable module.
  • Lead Procure to Pay (PtP) team and review AP ageing.
  • Submit PAYE, UIF, and SDL returns on time.
  • Manage bank accounts and authorize payments.
  • Enforce discipline and evaluate staff performance.
Requirements
  • B.Com Honours degree with extensive experience in similar positions.
  • Qualification/experience in cost accounting an advantage.
  • At least 10 years' experience in an accounting environment.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office and Accounting packages, particularly M3 an advantage.
  • Resilience.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Information sharing.
  • Monitoring compliance.
  • Results- and Deadline-oriented.
