Job Title: Site Technician

A leading water treatment solutions company, Elchemie, is seeking a skilled Site Technician to join their team in Secunda, Mpumalanga. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for water treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of water treatment plants to ensure compliance with SLA.
  • Perform daily checks on all plants to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage day-to-day interface with Sasol Customer representatives to ensure smooth operations.
  • Produce weekly and quarterly reports on performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Manage stock levels and ordering of new stock to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Prepare monthly quotes for chemicals and services, and secure purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Forward chemical requirements to Production timeously to ensure seamless operations.
  • Produce monthly reports for clients, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with key personnel at each client site to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Follow up with Debtors Department to ensure timely payment of services and chemicals rendered.
  • Ensure all sites comply with Health, Safety, and Quality requirements of Elchemie.
Requirements:
  • BTech Chemical Engineering degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid License and own vehicle.
  • A clear credit and criminal record.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-disciplined and organized with a strong attention to detail.
