Job Overview

This role involves providing advanced support in daily bookkeeping procedures, ensuring the timely completeness and accuracy of accounting records. The successful candidate will prepare primary accounting documents, financial statements, and reports required by clients, under the supervision of a Senior.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of accounting records while utilizing mandated systems (DAX).
  2. Prepare primary accounting documents, accounting statements, and reports required by clients, including management accounts and roll-forward financial statements (IFRS and UK GAAP).
  3. Meet deadlines for allocated clients, maintaining high-quality output and attention to detail.
  4. Prepare compliance-related filings (tax filings) accurately and efficiently.
  5. Execute primary documents in accordance with accounting for fixed assets, inventory items, settlements with customers, and payroll.
  6. Maintain day-to-day contact with clients, under the guidance of the team's Senior.
  7. Accurately book all journal entries and accounting documents into the general ledger for allocated clients.
  8. Review accounting entries processed by assistants and executives, processing additional entries as necessary.
  9. Assist in maintaining the chart of accounts, sub-ledger accounts, and other accounting application configurations.
  10. Identify out-of-scope services and provide relevant information to the team leader/manager.
  11. Maintain relationships with auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, notaries, and other involved parties to obtain required information for reporting purposes.
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accountancy or a related field.
  • Candidate with 2-4 years of job experience preferred.
  • Resourceful, independent, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with strong ability to plan ahead and organize.
  • Analytical structured mind set, with ability to follow and build upon existing processes.
  • Fluency in English is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word is essential, with experience of local accounting system desirable.
