  • Investigation: Participate in investigation processes in the event of incidents.
  • Workshop Management: Oversee the maintenance workshop on site.
  • Cleaning and Bin Maintenance: Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of bins on site.
  • Wash Bay Maintenance: Service and maintain the wash bay on site.
  • Maintenance of Buildings and Infrastructure: Oversee maintenance of buildings, roads, ablution facilities, and other site infrastructure.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with bylaws, provincial, and national laws related to equipment and tank maintenance.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Perform preventative, planned, emergency, corrective, replacement, installation, refurbishment, and repair tasks.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, Google Docs/Word.
  • Mechanical and Electrical Experience: Strong mechanical and electrical experience, including experience with electric control and instrumentation.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of landfill maintenance is an advantage.
  • Availability: Willingness to participate in 24-hour standby duties.
  • PLC and SCADA Programming: Knowledge of PLC and SCADA programming and maintenance.
  • Software Knowledge: Strong knowledge of software programs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Grade 12.
  • Millwright or Engineering Qualification: Possession of a millwright qualification, electrical engineer, or mechanical engineer certification.
