About the Role:
Sagen Advisory seeks a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Stellenbosch. As a tax professional, you will be responsible for attending to all tax compliance matters within the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Manage tax administration and dispute resolution, including timely submission of tax returns, provisional tax returns, and lodging of disputes.
- Conduct tax calculations and reconciliations, and manage client budgets.
- Prepare proposal documents and letters of engagement, and assist with department budgets.
- Review work, recommend billings amounts and timings, and role model the organizational culture.
- Assist with performance management, provide on-the-job training, coaching, and guiding, and build and maintain client relationships.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities, provide technical assistance to staff members, and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Consult on tax advice and provide support to the team.
Requirements:
- Registered Tax Practitioner with a degree or diploma in finance.
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with audit software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge of IFRS, and ability to develop talent.
- Initiative, team leadership, and ability to work under pressure, with strong teamwork skills and results-driven approach.
Remuneration:
- R420,000 to R480,000 per annum, depending on experience.
