The Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for leveraging advanced mathematical modeling and algorithm development to solve complex problems in sensor technology. You'll analyze technical challenges, lead solution design, and implement these solutions through hands-on coding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high-quality algorithms and models using data from spectrometry and other optical data sources.
- Apply advanced statistical techniques, such as multivariate analysis, optimization, and signal processing, to enhance system performance.
- Design software solutions and write high-quality code in Python, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Plan and execute experiments and data collection drives with partners globally.
- Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop hypotheses for testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, chemists, and stakeholders, to deliver working, value-adding products.
- Maintain clear documentation of algorithms, processes, and solutions to support future development and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- Advanced mathematical expertise, including knowledge of linear algebra, multivariate analysis, optimization, and signal processing techniques.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior data science or algorithm development role, solving complex technical problems.
- Proficiency in Python, with the ability to implement efficient, scalable solutions.
- Strong understanding of Linux, with experience working in a Linux-based development environment.
- Demonstrated ability to tackle high-level technical challenges and design innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
