Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team at JenRec Recruitment. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing electronic components from approved suppliers.

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Request quotations and place orders with approved suppliers for electronic components;
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records on our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system;
  • Create and submit Purchase Orders in a timely manner for approval via our ERP system;
  • Evaluate external providers to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards;
  • Conduct incoming inspections of received materials;
  • Capture purchased stock and materials on our ERP system;
  • Address supplier queries promptly and efficiently;
  • Communicate progress from vendors and suppliers to team members and managers;
  • Maintain and update supplier information, including qualifications, delivery times, and product ranges;
  • Comply with current company procurement procedures and policies;
  • Perform minor support roles within the company as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent, or suitable experience in excess of 10 years;
  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience;
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.);
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills;
  • Excellent planning and coordinating skills;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills;
  • A good understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and potential issues;
  • Pro-active approach to managing technical query processes between suppliers and engineers.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career development.
