Master Draughtsman

Job Summary

Scholtz Partners International is a leading provider of recruitment services, and we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Draughtsman to join our team. As a Senior Draughtsman, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of sheet metal products.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Draughtsman who can read and interpret various drawings and convert them into Solidworks packages. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to schedule assignments and communicate details to all individuals in the CAD department.

Responsibilities

• Reading of various drawings and ability to convert it into a Solidworks package
• Schedule assignments and communicate details to all individual in the CAD department
• Participate in all production meetings
• Generate complex drawings in Solidworks according to specifications
• Do follow up checks on completed drawings
• Create Data Packages
• Create cutting files
• Understand the bending, laser, machining and welding procedures
• Use of all measuring tools
• Liaison with quality department
• Identifying various components with regards to drawings

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience required in manufacturing
• Experience in using measuring equipment like tape measure & vernier
• Matric with Technical Drawings as a subject
• Competency in Microsoft applications including word, outlook & excel
• Experience in Solidworks
• Experience in AutoCAD
• Experience in Sigmanest

Salary

The salary for this position is approximately R37,000 per month, depending on experience.
