About the Position:
We are seeking an Assistant Category Manager to assist the buyer in compiling and executing category plans in line with the strategy, objectives, and category group guidelines on format/margin and assortment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collate and pull ad-hoc statistical and exception reports as requested by the buyer.
- Analyse reports, investigate anomalies, and take appropriate action to optimize category performance.
- Prepare vendor take-on forms and verify supporting documents to ensure accuracy.
- Attend buyer's negotiations with suppliers to negotiate prices and terms.
- Monitor and manage the execution of buying contracts and SLAs with DCs to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify and verify PnP article data with external systems to ensure master data alignment.
- Review and communicate aged and exit stock reports to the buyer.
- Interact with stakeholders on sales uplift information and indicator management.
- Investigate price queries for the buyer and provide timely resolutions.
- Ensure all product life cycle activities are executed successfully.
- Monitor performance of newly listed products and inform the buyer.
- Provide support to customer care teams as needed.
- Generate and analyse exception reports to ensure rebate targets are achieved.
- Request creation of articles through the Electronic Article Take-on process.
- Maintain emergency pricing and ensure accurate records.
