Job Description
The Senior Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing large diameter steel pipelines for the organization's vast distribution network.
The incumbent will work as part of the Pipeline Design Team to execute the pipeline engineering design function, assisting in route selection, hydraulic design, and structural pipeline design.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of bulk pipeline design and hydraulic modeling, as well as knowledge of applicable design standards such as AWWA, SANS, PD 5000, BS EN 13445, and BS EN 1295.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design large diameter steel pipelines for augmentation, repair, or renovation of the distribution network.
- Lead the Pipeline Design Team to execute the pipeline engineering design function.
- Assist in route selection, hydraulic design, and structural pipeline design.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable design standards and industry developments.
- Manage the interface with other engineering design disciplines and stakeholders to accomplish integrated pipeline designs.
