Job Summary

The Business Line Manager - Crushing Solutions will be responsible for driving the growth of Sandvik Crushing Solutions in Africa. This role will set the direction of the business, develop objectives based on the overall strategy, and execute with revenue growth and profit & loss responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the direction of the business with a territory-specific action plan focus to grow the business through the sales of crushing solutions capital equipment.
  • Manage the capital equipment crushing solutions sales team and the sales process, with direct responsibility for sales in the Southern Africa territory.
  • Coach and manage the crushing solutions sales team, encouraging cross-collaboration and knowledge learning with both the crushing solutions and screening solutions sales teams.
  • Work closely with the BLM Screening Solutions and Territory Managers to set action plans to execute on key focus areas to achieve sales and revenue growth in each territory and drive bundled offerings to maximize winning of opportunities.
  • Closely collaborate with the Lifecycle Manager to ensure an aligned focus and actions on driving the growth of the installed base of crushers and the readiness to provide the appropriate lifecycle support linked to the strategy.
  • Manage EPC & Key Customer Accounts in collaboration with the EPC & Customer Accounts Manager and the BLM Screening Solutions.
  • Develop sales strategy and action plans targeted for core focus areas/segments, ensuring capital equipment sales are done with an aftermarket growth focus and bundling.
  • Responsible for driving and setting the plan for Division Mobiles crushing solutions sales in Africa.
  • Ensure EHS responsibility for the crushing solutions team, developing EHS activities and actions associated with its annual commitment.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification at the level of Mechanical Engineer or Metallurgical Engineer or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of Sandvik Crushing & Screening equipment.
  • +10 years related industry experience with an OEM in the mining & infrastructure industry.
  • Solid understanding and experience in budgeting and forecasting processes and preparing strategic plans and action plans.

Other Requirements & Competencies

  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness & fitness to travel into other African countries.
  • Valid passport.
  • Knowledge of vibrating and/or crushing equipment.
  • Good understanding of mining site plants and process engineering.
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving ability.
  • Listening and logic interpretation.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership & mentoring skills.
  • Must be flexible and self-reliant, self-starter.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Sound commercial reasoning and contract management.
  • Strong understanding and compliance with Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • The ability to make sound decisions, execute plans & take initiative.
  • Computer Literacy & MS Office proficiency.
