Job Title: Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Machine Operator to join our team at AMT Placement Services. As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Support the adoption of Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, maximize efficiency, and improve work quality.
  • Contribute to achieving a Service Level Agreement (SLA) of 98% by adhering to standardized work processes and minimizing errors.
  • Maintain a minimum Quality Yield of 95% each month by ensuring defective products do not pass downstream.
  • Implement changes within 72 hours of receiving new initiatives and follow housekeeping principles daily.
  • Utilize Kanban Boards to effectively display production scheduling and adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies.
  • Prepare, set up, adjust, and monitor machinery, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order, and conduct regular maintenance and safety checks.
  • Perform deburring, honing, and packaging of blades and knives as required and participate in in-house training to gain a comprehensive understanding of machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of machine functions, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and the 5S methodology.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
